Upper Arm Lift
As we age, or following significant weight loss, the skin and soft tissues in the upper arm area may become saggy. This often results in excess skin and a change in body contour. An upper arm lift (brachioplasty) removes excess skin and specifically tightens the tissue to improve the contour of the upper arms. This results in a more harmonious, defined body silhouette with a natural appearance.

Consultation
During a personal consultation, we will analyse your skin quality, excess skin and your individual body proportions. Together, we will discuss your wishes and decide on the most suitable skin tightening technique. I will provide you with comprehensive information about the procedure, the course of scarring, potential risks and the realistic results you can expect.
Preparation
It is essential that you have reached your healthy target weight before undergoing body contouring surgery such as an upper arm lift. To ensure optimal wound healing, you should stop smoking around four weeks before the operation. Blood-thinning medication should be stopped or adjusted a few days before the procedure, following consultation with your doctor.
Surgery / Injection
Before the operation, the areas of excess skin and fat are marked out whilst the patient is standing, so that the final contour, symmetry and scar placement can be planned as effectively as possible. Liposuction is then carried out, followed by the targeted removal of excess skin and fatty tissue and the tightening of the upper arm contour. The incisions are made as inconspicuously as possible along the inner side of the upper arms, so that the scars are discreet once healed.
Aftercare
After the operation, you will either go home or stay in hospital overnight for observation. You should then allow your body to rest for 1 to 2 weeks. Most patients are back to their normal social lives after 2 weeks. We recommend consistent sun protection whilst you are healing.
Result
Well-defined, firm upper arms with a harmonious contour and inconspicuous scars.
