Scar Correction
Depending on their severity, location and skin quality, scars can be both aesthetically and functionally problematic. A scar usually matures within around 6 to 12 months, so a stable final result can only be assessed after this period. If a conspicuous, hardened or functionally restrictive scar remains at this stage, scar correction can lead to a significant improvement. The aim of the treatment is to achieve a less conspicuous appearance, with the scar blending harmoniously into the surrounding tissue. In addition, functional symptoms can be alleviated, for example by releasing deep scar bands or specifically lengthening scar-related lines of tension.

Preparation
Wait for the scars to heal (6 to 12 months). Blood-thinning medication should be stopped or adjusted a few days before the procedure, following consultation with your doctor. No smoking.
Surgery / Injection
Depending on the type and location of the scar, correction is achieved through targeted excision, repositioning or refinement of the scar tissue. The scar is then reconstructed with minimal tension and, where necessary, augmented with the patient’s own fat to improve skin quality.
Aftercare
Consistent sun protection for several months following the operation. Begin scar massage and, if necessary, apply silicone patches once the wound has healed properly.
Result
Less conspicuous, softer scars with improved skin quality and a more harmonious blend with the surrounding tissue.
