Umbilicoplasty
The navel is a key aesthetic landmark on the abdominal wall and plays a significant role in defining the appearance of the abdomen. Congenital variations in shape, scars, previous surgical procedures or pregnancies can lead to a change in or loss of the navel. Umbilical plastic surgery, or umbilical reconstruction, serves to correct or restore a naturally shaped navel that blends harmoniously with the contours of the abdomen.

Key Information
Correction or reconstruction of a naturally shaped navel.
Consultation
During a personal consultation, the shape, position and appearance of your navel, as well as your individual preferences, will be assessed. Together, we will determine the most suitable treatment plan. You will be given a full explanation of the options available, the procedure, the risks and the expected outcome.
Preparation
Following consultation with your doctor, blood-thinning medication should be stopped or adjusted a few days before the procedure. To ensure optimal wound healing, it is recommended that you stop smoking.
Surgery / Injection
Depending on the initial situation, the correction is carried out either by reshaping the existing navel or by a complete reconstruction using local tissue flaps. The aim is to create a natural-looking, slightly vertically oriented navel with harmonious proportions and scars that are as inconspicuous as possible. The procedure can often be combined with a tummy tuck, scar revision or hernia repair.
Aftercare
The navel is protected by a special dressing during the first few days. It is recommended that you take it easy for about one to two weeks. You should avoid strenuous physical activity for four to six weeks.
Result
A naturally shaped navel that blends harmoniously with the contours of the abdomen, with a discreet scar line. The result contributes significantly to the overall aesthetic appearance of the abdominal wall.
